Painting the East Coast Red, Part II
We added another state this past weekend when we drove through Rhode Island on our visit to Stephen and Jeff.
We had hoped for good weather this weekend but when reports about possible snow came up, we decided to drive along the coast to avoid it. We still hit snow in Rhode Island and on into Massachusetts, but at least most of our weather consisted only of rain. The roads were quite busy, but we had a safe drive and arrived in Cambridge at a reasonable time.
On Saturday we visited with a high school friend of mine, walking about half an hour through the falling snow to Harvard Square to eat some crepes. Yes Mom, I'm ordering snow boots this week! I was convinced that I can't put off the snow boots any longer. What would have been lovely weather changed into a hastle as my shoes and socks became wet. No, I didn't catch cold.
Saturday afternoon was relaxed and enjoyable. We made gingerbread cookies and I knit a bunch. We had a very laid back weekend and Jeff and Stephen were wonderful hosts.
On Sunday, we were able to go to church with Stephen and to the bi-weekly lunch that is held after church. We enjoyed the music at the church and found it to be almost identical to the music at ours.
On another note, Dan and I decided to read "Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way" and to skip out on taking a class. We've made Monday nights our official "classtime" when we read the book, though we're trying to practice throughout the week, too. The midwife suggested we might want to take the class to "socialize" and to be able to talk with other expecting couples about what we're experiencing, but we know so many expecting couples that this reason seemed bizarre!

I didn't know you knit! I also knit, but have been burnt out on it until this past week when I decided I'd like to knit a hat and a scarf.
